I have been working for the Franklin County School System (FCSS) for 23 years. I was a paraprofessional at Royston Elementary in second and third grades for six years.  After working over a year at Life Springs Resources, I returned to FCSS as a parapro at Franklin County Middle School (FCMS) where I worked for four years.  I left to complete my degree at Emmanuel College, but I returned to FCMS and taught sixth grade English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies for 12 years.  Now, I am beginning my second year in seventh grade teaching ELA.

When I am not at school, I spend time with my family.  My husband Steve and I have two sons, two daughters-in-law, and one granddaughter, Carly, who is 18 months old.  Our son Clint, his wife Millie, and our son Kyle all graduated from Franklin County High School.  Clint, Millie, Kyle and Kyle's wife Kari all graduated from the University of Georgia. I spend much of my time playing with and reading to Carly. I also like to spend time camping, swimming, and reading. This summer I have spend much of my time caring for my mother who is 95 years old.  This fall, I will be going to middle and high school football games and watching football on TV.  We are all UGA Bulldog fans and Atlanta Falcon fans.

I also enjoy playing games. I sponsor the Boardwalk club, which is a board game and card game club.  More information about this club will be available for the students and parents.  The Boardwalk club sponsors Box Tops and Labels for Education.  We received over $1000.00 for Box Tops for Education last year.  We sent in 2100 Labels for Education points for this year.  These points can be used to purchase supplies for our school.
